The programs it's handling are required to be handled by the Dept Of Ed by statute. It's as shut down as is possible, legally.

Heck, my Texas Legislature mandated school prayer and recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in our schools. Doesn't take long until a Culture of Christian Prayer begins to change things for the better. God blesses and heals those who acknowledge Him publicly.
Plus regarding Islam efforts to build cities governed by Sharia Law - our govenor said - Nope, not on my watch.
Meanwhile I continue to pray for my country, my President and my state and local elected conservative public servants - you should too.

How could it have fallen completely apart AFTER the dismantling of the DOE? The dismantling isn't quiet over yet, but that is besides the point. Our education system had already completely disintegrated a couple decades ago.
