Bannon went off on this earlier, but I didn't catch it.

Not sure how the GOP lost all of VA.

Have to admit the Dems played the shutdown well.

What antics? I thought he was pretty popular and if eligible for another term, would have won.

The issue the GOP had in vVrginia was who they ran after him... Seers seemed a little off.

I blame Winsome Sears. She wasn’t a good candidate and the suburban wine moms didn’t like her.

No. Rural red voters who stay at home if they don't get literally everything they want did that. We have a few morons like that who post here also.

The anti-DEI crowd went DEI candidate. The GOP has a real big problem with picking solid candidates at the state level right now.

White liberals won't vote for a black conservative.

I mean VA voted exactly how it typically votes, with democrats slightly underperforming compared to 2025 and 2024. The 2025 governors race was D +16

She went after Orange Rad. You would think after Ron crashed and burned with how popular he was they would learn

But they never do

Youngkin really was the perfect candidate to reach the suburban white women. They love a moderate, well spoken candidate in a sweater vest.

This is the answer. She was awful. Her debate performance was absolutely dismal. Youngkin did a great job & would have certainly been re-elected.

Youngkin was a fine governor. Sears was a terrible candidate.

She wasn't great. But neither was Spanberger. And she was running alongside Jay m-f-n Jones, Mr "I'm good with kids dying violently in their mother's arms if it gets my gun legislation passed." It's really almost unfathomable how that dynamic duo won, but the government shutdown didn't help.

And now this redistricting bullshite... it has got me seriously considering moving.

Yankees moving into North Virginia in huge waves to be close to Washington DC. The End.

Demographics are destiny.

This is also a prime example of why the founding fathers hated and feared pure democracy and constructed the federal government in such a way that its powers were hobbled and power diffused through multiple channels.

By a majority vote of just over 1 percent difference, the left has now taken representation away from almost half the state's population. A stark modern example of democracy being "two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner".

"Fairness". *spit*

Every single county went more blue.

Earle-Sears was a horrible candidate in her own right, but the government shutdown and DOGE cuts really drove voter turnout in NOVA. Earle-Sears was such a bad candidate that a Jewish carpetbagging fed who could only win 52% of a Congressional District in NOVA as an incumbant, was able to get 58% of the state wide vote.

The Virginia GOP might be the most inept state level GOP in the nation. Go back and read up on the 2013 Virginia Governor race to see their long history of not being able to beat Democratic candidates that shouldn't even have a fricking shot.

The gerrymandering push is President Trump’s fault. Had he not pushed Texas to redistrict the Dems wouldn’t have had the optics to push redistricting in other states.

Sears has a great resume that just doesn’t translate very well in person.

Bad candidate.

He left the state with a huge surplus and the bitch is going to blow it all. She is already alienating its citizens with her lies.
