He believes the crap that he posts just as much as any of the other ones that you mentioned. He tries to play the moderate game on here but read his posts and his true colors shine. He is a SuperYank that is sympathetic to the left and loves the establishment. I would classify him in the same group as a Mitt Romney or Twitch Kasich.

How can they be traitors? The southern states legally voted to secede from the union. LEGALLY.

You can try to talk tough all you want by insulting people who've been dead for 150+ years, but that doesn't make your insults true. Just shows how much of a coward you are for insulting people who can't defend themselves.

From Britain's perspective, yes. They were fighting FOR not against the eventual US so "swing and a miss" to equate to CSA soldiers/leaders.

You haven't been paying attention. I don't play any "game" with my political leanings.

Easy. I know words.

quote:

trai·tor

noun
a person who betrays a friend, country, principle, etc.

Don't you get emotional on me, too. It's not insulting to call them what they are.

For starters, they killed about 150,000 American soldiers.

I found a governmemt headstone request on ancestry for my great great great grandfather. He was part of an Alabama cavalry unit during the war so I guess they had some sort of status. I'll see if I can dig it up.

I doubt many would have stopped "you" if "you" left.

Confederate solders were traitors no matter what rationale some try to ignore that with.

How many people has the United States Government given leadership roles to that were considered "traitors"? I gauranttee you General Joe Wheeler was not branded a traitor.

Traitor may not be the right word, but it is the first that comes to mind.

If confederates were truly traitors, would it have been better to allow them to leave without harassment or violence?

As opposed to having a lot of unresolved issues since them....
