Then so were our country's forefathers.
That has already been addressed. More than once.

For starters, they killed about 150,000 American soldiers
Since we are going this route, American traitors also killed a lot of British Red Coats when they succeeded from a government they did not support.

I'm not British.

If they got a pension it was from the state. I have a copy of my great-great grandmothers application for a widows state pension from Texas based on my great great grandfathers service in the Civil War, he was in the Tennessee Heavy Artillery and was taken prisoner at Fort Morgan Alabama.. The pension was only for Texas state residents. I also have the documents where the state tried to cut her pension because they said she had moved out of Texas.

Where would our republic be without rebellion? That's essentially an American tradition.

You mean war of northern aggression?
Can someone explain why rebel flags seem to be more common in western PA today than in Louisiana or Tennessee? Serious question.

We should have given the Antonio Lopez De Santa Anna and his Mexicans veteran benefits too.
Because it's the same shite.
Because it's the same shite.

Victors get to set the narrative I suppose. Founding fathers would have been hung had the British won.

True, but we also know what actually happened.

Well, then it's a good thing the right side won. Both times.

No one really believes the right side didn't win the Civil War.
But let me help you: Quit being a disrespectful northern fricktard. Excluding WW2, you could add up every battle casualty from every other war that the U.S. fought and still wouldn't add up to the number of Confederate casualties that came from a handful of states. Further, the South is the only part of the U.S. that has known total war.
So STFU and have a little respect.

It might not be a majority opinion, but I know more than a few people that disagree with that.

You start a war, and people will die.

Respect for what? Men who died for their right to own other people? I'm good. Respect for traitors to my country? I'm good. Respect for other veterans? OK, I do respect them, but only so far. That won't stop me from calling them exactly what they are.

It's just that simple huh? The US government did more for Germany and Japan than they did for the South after the war and you wonder why the bitterness still exists?

None of the three should have received a thing.

Only good thing about the Vicksburg cemetery is that there are so many dead yankees there.
