Bobby was super intelligent but also quite possible that he was on the "spectrum." He didn't know how to deal with average people who weren't policy wonks or political nerds.

Won't effect Britt at all. She will be Senator as long as she wants to be.

Bobby Jindal never showed leadership even in his first term. While he is a smart guy, intelligence and leadership do not necessarily go together.

Further, Bobby is/was a swamp creature. Never forget it was John Breaux that gave him his start in politics and Mike Foster that groomed him for political office.

No

Bobby had a very good first term and easily won re-election.

He had an average first two years in his second term.

But, the last two years he avoided leadership in economically challenging times to not rock the boat because he was running for president.

Lack of action and leadership, not a speech destroyed his political career.

If I remember correctly, he is the one who pretty much closed (they are a shell of what they used to be) the state mental health hospitals.

Yes he did and now the mentals are in our public school system disrupting classes on a daily basis. That policy has forced them onto the streets and into the neighborhoods, with many of them ending up in jail.

Jindal’s career had been troubled since he spent most of his second term in Iowa and NH attempting to run for President.

The rebuttal didn’t help but it wasn’t a kill shot.

This.

A friend and I were on the ground during an emergency Jindal press conference early second term I think. Trying to remember. Could have been hurricane related or possible very high Miss River level press conference. But Jindal copters in one of these military looking copters. When he gets there the first thing he did was have them completely rearrange the setup so that the helicopter was in the background of all the cameras.
That’s what he cared about. Rearranging everything for the optic.
That’s when I realized he was completely done with LA.
