Don't get me wrong... I think DeSantis is showing real promise as the next standard bearer of the conservative/America First movement, and love his swagger with the media. Undoubtedly, the MSM-Swamp cabal is building an arsenal of mud & lies to unleash on him.

Just saying that some may see this clip and be like

His labeling Fried as a 'Lockdown Lobbyist' was an especially nice touch.

His background of Naval Service is so impressive!

Did I miss that he was definitely running for Governor again? It sounds like it.

That was straight Trump face. I can't tell if he is trolling with that or not, but love it.

Personally, I would prefer DeSantis to Trump for prez, if in fact he doesn't get watered down by the Rhino and anti Trump crowd.

He is better at communicating his policy, accomplishments, and arguing against progs.

Do not forget the MSM-Deep State-Big Tech (left them out in OP) which already are building arms against him.

By the time 2024 gets in sight, they will have constructed CGI deepfakes of DeSantis gutting puppies in KKK robes and throwing feces on little LGBQ brown children.

He’s going to wipe the floor with her. Trump won Florida by 5%. DeSantis will win by 8%. Pat careful attention to Hispanics in south Florida. You’ll see a percentage bump there too.

Even as a generic white dude (because that matters allegedly), I think he will continue to make in roads with minorities on a national level if he stays on message.

Agreed, and his leadership of Florida through the Scamdemic truly sets him apart on policy & political instinct. He shows balls, brains, class & wit when he spars with the media.

One area I think he can improve on is his public speaking to friendly crowds- i.e. the rally factor. The times I have seen him (maybe CPAC this year?) he was kinda meh, reading from a script, and whatnot.... He needs to get a little more rowdy and off-the-cuff for such events IMO.

I doubt anyone in our lifetime will ever have the rally factor that Trump has. However, the MAGA crowd expects some showmanship. If DeSantis could get a fraction of the MAGA rally energy going, he will be a force.

While I think Trump got more hispanic votes in 2020 versus 2016, I also think DeSantis cleaning up that shithole voting cabal in South Florida, probably worth 250K votes at least.

Now imagine the same thing was done with 50 major metro areas in the US, suddenly there would be a shift of 10 to 15 million less votes for the dems, that had been overcounted for decades.

This last cycle proved one thing for certain, there are far more of us out there than we previously thought.

This is the only downside to backing DeSantis now, but it's a big one. They'll have had more than enough time to cook up their usual bullshite - i.e. find every woman he's ever banged, sift through thousands of past pictures of him doing non-PC things, etc. I'm still 100% behind him, but it's going to be ugly.

Fortunately, Kamala will be his opponent, but they'll have plenty of time to put lipstick on that pig as well.

That's wading in dangerous waters! Trump got himself in a ton of trouble with the middle-of-the-road people that are needed to win a Presidential election.
Unfortunately, most people don't vote for the person with the ideology they prefer, but the personality they prefer.
Again unfortunately, I can't see Trump winning a second time with public perception of him being what it is....and I'm a Trump supporter!
