The only way that happens if Trump runs.....people hate Trump more than they care about America....the one thing that will galvanize the opposition voters is a return of Trump which is why it needs to be DeSantis. DeSantis can win....Trump maybe not.

MAGA policies are extremely popular even if Trump as a person is not. America First, jobs, the economy, strong defense, secure borders, law and order, draining the swamp (to the extent it can be), jurists who are Constitutionalists, and being to the right in the culture wars: these are are winning issues....Progressivisms are not.

You actually don’t know what you may be getting with him, but he says and does the right things right now. Been ensnared by that before. A lot

Romney was a solid governor as was Jeb Bush. It’s almost as they become compromised when they accept millions in donations from the corrupt globalist elite in order to be able to win the presidency

For me it comes down to 4 years of Trump vs 8 years of Desantis. I have to go with 8 years.

Trump has lost at least 15-20% of the support he had prior to losing the 2020 election. The majority of the people I know that voted for him, wouldn't do it again. He's the only candidate the GOP could nominate that would lose in 24

And that's a bad thing? Did you see what Stephen Paddock did in Vegas with semiautomatics enhanced with bump stocks? That made Charles Whitman's 1966 Texas massacre look like child play.

Republicans who “voted against” Trump in 2020 will do so again if he gets the nomination in 2024. Their blind hatred of him will override any rational thoughts they might have.

Just copy/paste this in every Desantis thread. Desantis is the safe bet by miles

Those saying they will attack and smear BDR too! are correct. But they will have to recalibrate the branding machine for him. And he certainly won’t lean into the hatred the way OMB did

Where is Black Adam to push DeSantis when he is running for Governor of Fla? A thread a day keeps TDS away?

Good point though, could DeSantis fill a sports stadium? Could he win PA and rustbelt States? Can you link me to his national policy issues domestically and geo-politically?
