Are you kidding me? The benefits of slavery? Slavery was bad for everyone in every way, period. There were no benefits. Our country would not be in the shape it is in had there been no slavery. Some people involuntarily were taught some skills other's prized at the time. No politician worth his salt would ever mutter such a thing in public or put it in a textbook. No politician except those pandering to racists.

What a dumb take. Slavery has been around since the inception of mankind. We didn’t invent slavery here in the US. In fact, we were the first country in history to outlaw it.

This is low hanging fruit for Desantis. He has mastered the ability to tactfully make these idiots look like the mental midgets that they are.

This is what happens when you join Trump. You might be an up and coming leader like Donalds, but you end up being a merely a black face for Team Trump to exploit in trying to create a mini scandal for a rival (by attacking an unprecedented conservative educational effort, no less). They're just disgusting folks.

Blacks clearly benefited by being brought to this continent through the slave trade. What is wrong with acknowledging this. Furthermore their masters on this continent treated them better than their own people who sold them into slavery in the first place.

DeSantis and Trump are both jokes and Whites have zero representation in our country that we built.

VOR pops into a thread where he feels confident.

Drops a turd of a statement that isn’t factual.

Leaves forum like a bitch.

How can this be? Trump Loyalists assured us that Meatball would get destroyed by the media and that he was lucky they were only going after Trump.

It merely states what is common sense. Those who had skills i.e. blacksmithing, carpentry, and cooking were at an advantage over those who had spent their lives picking cotton or cutting cane.

Hell yeah that makes sense. That reads more like a lesson in basic economics. People who squire marketable skills are better off than those who acquire less marketable skills.

Does anybody have the actual passage from the book? I’d like to read it.

Well that’s false

Without slavery millions of American citizens would indeed still be African citizens with way less security and standard of living
