What good is winning a general election if the Republicans come up with excuse after excuse to not implement their alleged agenda? Remember "Elect us! We'll repeal Obamacare!"? How far did that go? What about border security? They seem to forget about this as soon as they assume office. What about our endless, very expensive, wars that serve no national interests other than enriching the political class?

The Republicans are no better than the Leftists. How many times have we seen so-called "Conservative Republicans" cower in fear at the likes of Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the MSM? The GOP does not know how to be the majority party and seem to always let the Democrats and their media mouthpieces steamroll them and set the agenda. What good is having a political party that has no, zero, backbone? Our current state of affairs is not because of Donald Trump, it's because of a weak, feckless, Republican Party who are more interested in getting along with the opposition that going for their throat.

Trump was no different. He wouldn't cast Fauci aside because he was afraid of the media.

you will vote for mccain, dole, W, romney.. just to get the W… not me man

Then you can just go f yourself with a rusty tailpipe.

Instead of McCain, we got Obama - instead of dole, we got Clinton - we got W instead of Gore - instead of Romney, we got Obama.

As bad as W was - he was leagues ahead of GORE. I'd have traded a tenure with McCain OR Romney to keep Obama out of the WH for 8 years = which led directly to the weaponized bureaucracy we have today = which is ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE more serious than it was even during Clinton.

So take your goddam silly-arse 'virtue signal' and go pound your pud along with those 'tell me your pronouns' asshats

How anyone can hold just arse-backward views is beyond me - you must be all of 12 years old.

YOU and your shitstain cowardly lions are who are responsible for this mess. :doublebird:

Trump at least has a chance.

Desantis either gets permanently stained by losing to Trump or he has the MAGA maniacs sink him in the general.

It's obvious what will happen so why would Desantis even mess with it at 44 years old. Will he listen to the few smart people around him?

And I'm not saying any of this is right or fair, I'm just stating the way it is.

Not to mention how much has changed since Rove made his bones.

Everything has changed.

This isn't 1999.

here we go again with Monday morning qb bullshite.

I'll bet all you guys are fantastic at poker telling everyone what 'I would have held' = after the cards are all laid out face up.

This is so tiring - all the jr-hi level knee-jerk know it alls trying to sound like that actually know something.

YES - Fauci was terrible - a LOT of us knew it at the time. BUT the son of a bitch was the media darling with the entire Senate and House in his corner and he cannot be fired like a cabinet secy -

Hell - the POTUS cannot even fire a postal clerk who is goofing off - how the hell is he gonna get rid of the Chief Medical Expert of the past 40 years?????

WHAT GROUNDS ????

Because we THINK he is wrong??

damn - the Monday morning QBing on here is frustrating -

NOW - Fauci SHOULD be charged with criminal conspiracy - now that the EVIDENCE is at hand.

AND - we should ELECT better people to high office - instead of FORFEITING every race to the OTHER SIDE whenever we don't have our 'very own best candidate'

Damn - I'd hate to be in a fox hole with one of you bastards

Just proves Limbaugh wasn’t perfect. Nor is Trump.

But they both are a hell of a lot better than anyone else in the political realm.

In your very next sentence where you argued it's the Republican party and not Trump that's accountable for the current state of affairs on the Right.

He endorsed everyone from George Senior and the first Gulf War, all the way to Colin Powell and his insistence that Iraq was hiding chemical weapons. It wasn't until Powell endorsed Obama that Limbaugh got off the Powell train. And furthermore, it wasn't until "You have to go back" that he saw what Trump could do for his ratings. Then and only then did he hop on. Rush Limbaugh was a full 'a shite entertainer and balls out, full tilt swamper mouthpiece. Just like Sean Hannity

You’re not totally wrong. Back in the 90’s through early 2000’s Rush use to cheer on the out sourcing of America’s industries/jobs if it hurt union workers…..however, I think once Trump crashed the scene Rush totally flipped from establishment R to more of an America First populist. I think Trump opened a lot of conservatives/Rs eyes to just how corrupt our federal government is.

Not one bit. If the choice is between a DIM and a closeted DIM like Romney, Ryan, McCain, Dole, and any Bush

Who just happen to be the lineup of every Rep nominee since Reagan. How about that?

He was a political pit bull. The left went on witch hunts looking for bullshite they could lock him up for, like they did with Roger Stone.

Karl Rove, whether you like him or not, is a fervent and dedicated republican strategist that makes Roger Stone look like an earthworm in comparison.

Is Karl Rove a libertarian? No. Is he an excellent political strategist, particularly for the republican party? Hell yes he is. Is he right 100% of the time? Nope. The guy isn't stupid and he isn't a liberal and he fights like Mike Tyson when you need him.

I like Karl Rove.
