Of course they are for CQB. Most shooting occur within 7 feet and if they need to clear a home they should have the proper weapon. I would be a hell of a lot more worried if government law enforcement agencies were ordering thousands of M24 sniper rifles. I don't know how some of you get out of bed in the morning with the paranoia you live with.

I'm sure there are already plenty of M-24's in the arsenal. I doubt these raids are conducted without sniper teams.

I never said I was paranoid about anything just questioning the need for the DOA to have submachine guns. Quit lashing out like a child.

I really didn't watch Petticoat Junction. The difference was the writing concept. G.A. took the comedic position that if you are the only sane person amongst a bunch of insane people, then who is really the oddball? Oliver was.

First of all that number is "estimated" which means it is not accurate but even if it was in a country with a population of 317,000,000 that means that .00012 of people experienced a SWAT raid.
Number 1 - you're assuming that the SWAT raids are "experienced" by one person each raid. That may be the single dumbest thing typed on here today. Number 2 - why does every single freaking police department need a SWAT team? They don't. But as soon as they get one, they have to justify its use. Thus, of the raids which are tracked, half are done to serve warrants for non-violent offenders. If you think that's a smart use of SWAT, then you're probably a cop. And dumb.

If you believe it makes any significant statistical difference if there were 3 people in each home I believe the "dumb" moniker should be assigned to you.

He just seems to be one of the few in threads like this with half a brain. Don't let it upset you too much. Go back to searching the Internet for scary cops big gun stories
