Deporting illegals with fake Social Security Cards

Why is this a problem? Mike Barnacle on morning Joe was just bemoaning that Trump is expanding deportation eligibility for those caught with fake social security cards. That seems like a pretty big deal to me. You can't just forge the official documents of a sovereign nation.

Yep assuming you do this to work illegally

Are you asking why he would be upset with the government treating an undocumented worker with a fake ss card worse than an undocumented worker without one? That seems pretty self explanatory.

That is fricking beautiful (if true).
It means they have been committing fraud and possobly stealing a citizen's identity.

From the standpoint of a US citizen and taxpayer, I fail to understand the intellectual argument and sympathy in support of illegal immigration.

Im all for deporting illegals who are criminals and I'm all for figuring out a way to let the good ones stay and pay back taxes as long as they've been here.... This would fall under the former.

How about this:

The fact that people do not see the major problem with this is just puzzling. Should be deported immediately with no chance for return

All illegal immigrants have broken the law... deport them all, white, black, yellow, brown...

I hope we start deporting those frickers. Some bastard with a fake SS card filed for a tax return with my SS# 5 years ago. It damn near ruined my credit. Luckily, my dad is my CPA and has a friend who formerly worked at the IRS, or I would've been screwed.
Build that wall and deport as many as we can. They are criminals not dreamers.

Oh And stick your "undocumented worker"s up your arse.

Faking any document or purporting to be a US citizen when you aren't already makes someone inadmissible under the INA, and there is no waiver for it, so this is simply a matter of enforcing a portion of already valid law. If DACA and the priority category memo are valid, as he and many Democrats will argue, then this is even more valid as it is already statutory law.

What I would like to see done when one is caught with a fake card, run a check to see if he has by chance been receiving benefits. What are the odds that he has not? Then, that would add a felony to the original charge, and it would be a Federal felony charge.

This. Their Dreams are the nightmare of working class American Citizens. How people don't get the notion that we simply don't have enough jobs in this country to support 11-30 million illegals. They have created a surplus of labor that does three things:
Lowers wages all the way up the pay scale
Allowed companies to pay less-than-subsistence wages, meaning that you and I are subsidizing corporate wages through paying out welfare and Medicaid to people who's jobs don't pay enough
Created an entire class of people who have just given up on finding work that will pay them more than they can get sitting at home.
Add in automation, population growth, people retiring later, criminal justice reform that will likely free hundreds of thousands of non violent drug offenders... and it's only going to get worse.
We have a responsibility to take care of American Citizens first.

It is NOT an intellectual argument. It is an emotional argument.

Forging government documents is likely a felony on its face via state law. If not for forgery, then certainly for person of a forged instrument. Check your state's criminal code.

Don't get mad at me. I'm not the one upset about it. I think it's funny that Trump wants to deport the one paying withholding taxes and never collecting. Public education in Iowa must be in the crapper too. I thought it was just Alabama that was particularly bad.

Just about all of them have broken more than one law. They broke it, of course, illegally entering the country.
A very large number broke it once again if they were apprehended and released with a promise to appear in court. Most no showed. If we fail to appear in court what happens to US?
Indeed there has been case after case where they ran afoul of the system, traffic violations, causing wrecks, and other offenses and they no show.
Then there is this, with the false documentation. They break our laws just by being here, and they continue to break them while they are. When these people are caught they should be taken straight to a judge and away they go, then and there.

Just like you would get a bench warrant, they get a deportation order.

Blame the mayors and sheriffs of these sanctuary cities who release people with immigration holds. I know I am one of the more zealous immigration advocates on here, but it is ridiculous that someone with an immigration hold is not turned over to ICE if they are arrested. These sanctuary cities would not release someone with an outstanding warrant if they were picked up, I don't understand why it is "okay" to do it for someone with an immigration hold, it's essentially a warrant.
