Yeah he's talking about income inequality believe it or not but Venezuela wasn't always a total shite show like today. But poor and corrupt leadership as well as US embargos brought the country to it's knees.

Why does he call himself a socialist? This whole “let’s be capitalists with a huge welfare state like the Nords” is extremely recent spin from him. The guy is a clown and so is anybody who doesn’t realize he’s saying whatever he thinks will get him elected right now. Senator “I don’t care what you think of me” Sanders is very different from presidential candidate Sanders.

Yet his policies says otherwise. This insane spin from yall is just sad, either are just regurgitating right wing talking points or you're being disingenuous because you can own the libs

Socialists could not possibly have picked a worse example. Not only aren't the Danish socialists, according to their own PM, they can't pay for the programs they do have, as they and others like Sweden have had to raise their retirement ages.

The Danish PM said during his speech at Harvard (above) that their model is not sustainable.

What policies? Make everything “free” and then admit you have no idea what it’s going to cost?

No, basically if you make 30 grand you pay 15 grand in taxes
so what do they get for that 15 grand? Vs what we get for our taxes

You mean universal healthcare like every other first world country or free college like we already have in K-12?

They get medical insurance. Now how would an American financially handle getting their take home pay cut damn near in half? Even if it works, you can’t do it overnight, it would take huge adjustments over a long period of time, or are we going to forgive everyone’s mortgage?

Have you ever had a discussion about the Danish system with a Danish national?

I have. They all have private insurance and 14% of their income taxes goes to pay for basic health care.

Add it up. The common reference of the price tag is 3 to 4 trillion a year. In his revenue stream plan he estimates a revenue of 1.7 trillion. That ain’t paying for it

Obviously there was more but those were key factors in the country's fall
