Dems “Safe” word

I notice when Democrats are on a panel with Republicans and are losing a debate, they throw out their safe word to try and end the conversation. They will scream someone is “racist” trying to deflect the losing conversation. In the past it worked, but I have noticed that Republicans are finally calling bullshite and demanding an explanation.

They have been doing it for a long time. I noticed it in the 90s during discussions with liberals. You present them with a rational, logical argument to effectively win. They throw the ad hominem race card and walk away feeling victorious. That is the dying gasp of a losing argument.

Good observation, OP. Last night, on Bream's show I think, the Democratic Party watercarrier Jessica Tarlov responded to the other panelist's statement of..
"suburban voters are worried the rioting and violence will make it to the suburbs"
Tarlov, with her smug face called it racist. The guy challenged her harshly with "don't call the truth racist" and "you have a palsy face you stupid bitch" (last part may have been in my imagination)

one of the reasons I watch white house pressers is to watch princess Kayleigh call out every smug reporter that thinks they have a gotcha moment. her mastery of exploiting their half truths, misquotes, out of context garbage is wonderful
