Well their position for opposing a CR and funding the Gov right now is that they are standing for healthcare. They blame Trump for not negotiating. That's their propaganda. I think you counter both by giving them what they claim to want but with the limitations that the GOP want and then letting them explain why they don't support the clean CR. This would also probably move the public much more to the GOP side of things as well.

eventually Senate Republicans will eliminate the filibuster rule in order to fund the government

This should absolutely not be on the table at all.

The CR has nothing to do with subsidies. They want a do over on the reconciliation fight they already lost. Too fricking bad. If they refuse to vote for a clean CR and the goverment stays closed then everyone can just live with their choices.

Everyone knows if anyone not named Trump was President they would have signed the CR.

The Democrats have accomplished nothing for 10 years since their entire focus is Trump

The absolute best thing to do would be to start eliminating as many jobs as possible and tell the Democrats every day more jobs will be cut until they vote for the CR

When the government eventually reopen there will be a ton of money allocated for jobs that no longer exist they can be used for other things and the Democrats will scream bloody murder as they continue to be destroyed

they are supported by the left wing media - nothing will penetrate that armor. the people who are aware of that are already on our side - you'd have to get your 'message' out in an environment that is opposed to every idea you have.

we are at some point going to have to implement some sort of 'truth in broadcasting' regulations - and make politicians liable for grossly untrue statements they make.

Twenty years ago, i would have agreed with you. But twenty years ago, Trump would have never been elected in the first place.

The Internet has allowed a new media to exist, and the only ones that still live in only that bubble are the ones that close too. Boomers.

Not all the boomers, but a lot of them.
We saw that this weekend.

why do people support the filibuster? please point me to the clause in the Constitution that says you need 60 votes in the Senate to pass legislation. It’s a made-up rule in order to prevent the other side from doing anything meaningful when they’re in power.

If a party has a majority of the House, majority of the Senate, and the White House, then they have the right (the people’s will) to pass legislation as they see fit. That goes for both sides. If the people don’t like the legislation being passed, they can replace their representatives. the founding fathers put checks and balances in place and I don’t think we need to add to it.

Making examples of the Intel agents masquerading as "journalists" for their complicity in the orchestrated attempt to undermine the 45 admin would be a good start.

Undoing the "Speech and Debate clause" protections for Congressmen would be another quantum leap forward.

As it stands, both pathways allow the usual suspects to lie their asses off with zero consequences.

The problem is that a lot of folks want a win on the shutdown

The biggest win possible is to let it stay shutdown as long as possible, and to advertise who the holdout are. The only people hurt by the shutdown are democrats, and when they realize it's their politicians' faults, maybe a few will wise up.

The Dems only wanted to end the filibuster rule to get judges appointed, they though with the Latino influx they would always win the Presidency and thus wanted to hurry up and stack the courts.

Here is where you, others, hell everyone is wrong about the filibuster, it is evil incarnate, its a tool both leadership sides use to thwart the will of the people without ever getting blamed.

The Uni Party loves the filibuster rule, the fringes or those not in leadership should despise it, because in essence it takes away powers enumerated unto them at the ballot box. So, why is it bad for the nation?

Well, why can't we ever get a balanced budget amendment? You need 60 votes the RINOS will tell you, so NOPE, CAN'T DO IT. Why can't we ever cut spending? Need 60 votes. Why can't we pass a budget without loads of pork? Need 60 votes. So, guess what when Republicans are in power we can not blame them, they do not have 60 votes needed so they have to "PAY LEGAL BLACKMAIL" to get to 60 votes. Same when the Dems have control, its built where both Leaders & co. in the Senate, the Majority and Minority can never be blamed for anything, cause they do not have 60 votes, it is the biggest SCAM JOB in history. Its a legalized bribery racket.

They thus steal the Majority from us, and THEY THEMSELVES can decide what gets passed, and can not be held accountable. If there was a 50 vote rule, our Republican Senator would be able to pass bills without all the graft in it or get voted out, now they have rigged the system where they can't get blamed.

The 60 vote rule is awful for the average joe blow, the steal our ability to control them with the popular vote.

It would be like Florida hiring a coach, but he can't hire his own staff, nor call plays, he would never get any blame for a 5-6 season, he could just say, the Law says I have to let the President hire my staff and the staff have to call the plays. Its not my fault. If there was a 50 vote rule as their should be, those bums would be held accountable.

The Uni Party wants you to think its all about Bipartisanship, its about graft for the party leaders.

IDK, the only thing would be they would be doing it and so the next time the GOP got power it would run as hard as possible unconstrained. So far both sides have not done this due to the fear of what happens afterwards when they are out of power.

Didn’t most Dems vote to do it? It was stopped by 2 now ex-democrats.

When the food stamp funds run out of money on Nov.1 there will be wailing and gnahsing of teeth so loud the dems will have to cave or else they will be slaughtered in the midterm elections.
