They think they are smarter. Their constant clamor of "uneducated rednecks" towards Republicans is laughable. While they as a group , are clueless about Business , Economics and how the Senate works. 
Also , they always want or need a handout. ACA is a good example. An intelligent person can adapt and overcome and take care of themselves.

Anything that goes viral is usually just a symbol that people attach their existing beliefs to.
Did the “MSM” overreact. Probably. But you know who is watching cable news on Saturday? People who already have a pretty fixed narrative of political belief.
Few people think carefully. Time is compressed for all of us in this age. There is little time to reflect, and most people lack the time to give a shite what someone else’s considered view is. We just react on our phones, watching it like spectators of a game, cheering when our side “scores,” complaining about unfairness, rationalizing when the other side makes a point.
It’s a lot of things. It ain’t thinking.

Probably? Friday through Sunday has been a colossal failure for the Media. All credibility is shot to anyone that can qualify for being neutral. All of the #fakenews hashtags are validated.
