As directly asked in another post how is this time more violent than the late 60s and early 70s?

I would actually argue that today is less threatening because so many people are content with espousing and talking shite their opinions on FB and message boards and it's much easier to track the violence threats, because the internet

I came of age in the 60s and 70s, Owl, and I can tell you that the POLITICAL difference is light and day. The Socialist/Communist presence in our body politic and Congress was virtually non-existent. MSM as well. And until Johnson's pernicious "Great Society" which essentially destroyed the nuclear Black family for political gain and economic, welfare beans compared to the spiritual damage done to many fine (albeit Jim Crow persecuted) Black folks.

The Commies have done their due diligence, muddied the waters of envy and 'social justice' via monetary equality, and divided our Nation via what is now perceived as a moral and absolute battle for ideological, formal governmental dominance. Both sides are ready for a throwdown. And it is likely coming as voting and talk have now become problems, as opposed to solutions.

IMO, this Forum IS "doing something". Such being presenting controversial and socially uncomfortable arguments that would otherwise be swept under the politically correct rug. While we are swept into an impassioned black hole of violent redress of perceived grievance. You will seldom or never hear this where it should be addressed, on the Floor of Congress.

IMO, Xi should be invited to address Congress and defend their Collectivist economic ideology, against our best Capitalist Meritocracy (minus the Biden low life, political version grifters) apologists.

The political rhetoric by elected officials is more ingrained in the establishment

but the conversation here is about violence

I'd be more than happy to have a conversation about the political climate in Congress and state legislatures, especially at school boards where I think many of you on this board could have a direct and consequential effect

But that's not what we're talking about we're talking about violence

You frickers cheer on death each and every day. ICE murdering U.S. citizens in the streets, when they are not disappearing people to gulags around the world, is just one example. Another is these bullshite wars of choice, killing brown people because ... reasons?

You believe people with dark skin and women are second-class citizens, at best, subhuman at worst. And if subhumans get treated poorly, taken out back and shot, raped, whatever, who cares?

You rally around a $1.5 TRILLION ANNUAL BUDGET for the Pentagon but believe homeless people and sick people should just get on with dying so as not to be a drain.

The Republicans, the MAGA Trump supporters and the conservatives in the USA need to tone it down a bit with their hateful speech and violent activities against the peaceful people of the world. Something should be done about it before the USA is no longer a safe and welcoming country for Trans Kids.

There was a recent post here where Mayor Pete was at a town hall, and an older woman, with tears in her eyes and a cracking voice asked him what they, "democrats" are supposed to do when Republicans want to round up gay, transgender, and minorities and put them in concentration camps. These people are broken, and democrats are taking full advantage. It's going to take a literal act of God to bring us together again.
