So here's the difference for those who don't get what is important about the national committees vs the candidates.
Campaigns use money for ad buys, robo calls, and travel/salaries.
National committees use money for the actual data collection, voter registration and analysis, and local/national infrastructure.
So if a party is all in on candidate campaigns but has nothing in the bank for the committee, you end up with local races flush with cash but no idea where and how to spend it effectively.
The (one of the) reason trump's campaign won in the Midwest was Kushner's brilliant work with the RNC's existing data and analysis that had been collected and built for years in preparation.
Without that prep by the national committee, you can't do that. It's not something that can be built in a month either. It takes time. The time RIGHT NOW.
Democrats should be donating to the DNC, not individual campaigns as much.
