“I mean, we will, of course, I expect, have hearings on this,” Rep. David Cicilline, a Rhode Island Democrat, told CNN. “There’s a process that the president is expected to follow in granting pardons or granting clemency. We’ll try to bring attention to this issue on behalf of the American people. We will continue to do oversight.”

frick Vasilline. Seriously. Another embarrassment representing my state. Piece of shite ran (at least) half a dozen people out of working for him when he was mayor of Providence because they refused to do favors for his brother, let tax stuff slide and these people would keep their jobs. Don't think he's ever said an honest thing in his life.

Want to know how you get a 9-0 Supreme Court decision? Try to bring something to them related to presidential pardon power.

Anybody else notice the use of the word "he" in that sentence? Does that mean a hypothetical female president can't grant pardons or reprieves?

Our founding fathers really were brilliant

She/It will have to identify as male, if we ever go down that road.

Article 2, Section 2 states nothing of any "process that the president is to follow in granting pardons or granting clemency."

quote:

...and he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

I'm getting so tired of members of Congress demanding the president check with them before he fulfills his Constitutional duties.

It's going to be absolutely hilarious to watch Dem's argue for another Dem politician to not be commutated

And then on the heels of that the administration announces other Dem politicians who have committed the same act Blagojevich did.

Talk about a hypocritical melt that will take place.

That chart finally clarified something for me.

Obama granted so many hoping to end up in the top 4 list of presidents for something, anything to be mentioned in the "top 4"...

Didn’t Trumps prison reform free thousands for nonviolent crimes?

d commutations by The Maj
It really is time to purge both houses of congress... spare no one just to make an example for those that will follow...

Y’all realize if Congress had term limits of 12 years nearly every current leader of the Resistance would not be in Congress.
