Slotkin, who represents a Trump district, said she has not decided how she will vote. While her district is “overall not supportive of impeachment,” she said some votes require members to go with their gut over constituents’ wishes.
“I think that there are some decisions that leaders are asked to make that are often controversial and difficult and hard to understand for lots of people but the leader has to make it because they know it’s the right thing to do,” said the former CIA officer.

These are the most telling two paragraphs, IMO. This democrat believes she knows better than her constituents because, as she clearly says, they’re not smart enough to understand. It’s obvious that she sees herself as representing the CIA instead of her district.

They had better make sure it fails. They don't want a trial in the Senate. This has just been a show throw mud. It won't pass.

It will pass with 8 to 11 democrats voting no.

The deal has already been worked.

The republicans are privy to the deal and have already acknowledged they wont call many witnesses and will have a speedy short senate trail.

5 dem senators will vote no in the senate.

Who you got?

Aside from Jones and Manchin. I heard this morning Manchin already decided to vote no. Jones is an obvious choice.

I will actually be surprised if Jones votes no

He is done anyway so why should he just go out with a bang instead of a whimper?

it allows the Rs to legit state that there is bipartisan support AGAINST impeachment.

While this is true, if Romney and 3 cuck buddies vote with Democrats in Senate to remove Trump, the Democrats will scream that a majority of both Houses think Trump should go.

Republican caucus in Senate must stick together to prevent this.

The DNC will crack the whip to make it happen, just like the Obamacare vote in 2009.

Political careers were destroyed, but the DNC got their way.

The vote will pass judiciary and the full house. They wouldn’t have brought it to this point if they didn’t have the votes

No, the Dems are just stupid enough to do that.

But I agree I’d be surprised if it doesn’t pass the House

What if a few R’s state openly that they want this in the senate to expose how much of a shitshow this is, so just enough to make sure it passes, but openly stating they oppose impeachment but want the D’s to get what’s coming. That would eliminate the “bi-partisan” support argument the D’s will try to claim.

Except the media would not report their argument about republicans wanting it to go to the senate. They would just say there was bipartisan support.

Just like they didnt show Lindsay Grahams opening speech yesterday. Just skipped it completely.

Second, I don't think they're smart enough to defect

Keep one thing in mind. They do their own internal polling. They lie to the public, but not to themselves. If they know they are going down with an impeachment vote then they won't commit suicide for Nancy. She's ugly and she doesn't have any tits.
