The republican term of “ thoughts and prayers for the victims” does not go as far as it did 10,000 mass shootings ago. It is obviously time to try a different approach. I would think even a child would understand this.

Evil people do not care about gun laws, do not have to buy guns at stores, and will not stop being evil no matter what change is implemented.
The only people stricter laws and gun control hurt are decent people who just want to defend themselves and their families.

I expect the democrat led U. S. House of Representatives will move to enact gun control, maybe even confiscation. You can be sure the democrats will exploit the massacre in El Paso to gain leverage in the 2020 election.

I posted something similar in another thread. Erosion of parenting and morals and such.
Problem is, even if you hold parents accountable, you’ll still have shitty parents. If accountability worked, wed have zero DUIs.
It’s not going anywhere due to human behavior.
And neither is our freedom and our guns. I’ve come to the conclusion this is the price for freedom.
The alternative is 100% gun confiscation. And at that point, you’ve sacrificed freedom. And people will still die at the hands of crazies. Just through a different means.

I never claimed to have the answers, but I surely do understand what the democrats are saying. And that is that the same thing will continue to occur unless something different is done.

with 24 hour news we hear everything right now. there has always been shooting tragedies just like auto wrecks we just hear them more...
a few days ago the dems were heartbroken at the deaths of the last shooting and they forgot and moved on, this time though they will really care.
it is like all the other political BS
-common sense immigration reform
-common sense health care
-lock box on medicare
-lock box on no more higher taxes
-mental health gun policy act
-end gun violence
-same pay for women
-common sense legislation
-LGBTQURS rights
repeat and rinse over 50 years.
(Accept for the first time EVER democrats are saying they will raise your taxes; but the fat cats are really going to pay for all the free shite) it's called communism bernbot and dem progressives, wake up!
They passed a mental health gun package, Obama signed a womens pay act in front of cameras
yet nothing ever happens---- until Trump...
it is why they want him out at all costs.

One of the most effective things we could do is to stop naming these shooters and stop giving them the notoriety they seek.
Also, try to refrain from even publishing the manifesto.
When other crazies see how much press this guy gets and how his message gets heard it will only encourage more of these events.
