IF - the entire political world in the USA comprised moral and patriotic people only arguing over nuances of what may be the better option for some legislation, then I'd agree with you that the bluster and narcissism of Trump would be a disqualifier.
BUT - when you are looking at this arrogant braggart as the only guy who knows how to keep the raft from going over the waterfall - and all the people trying to have him thrown overboard are just ignorant and drunk and trying to rob rest of us - then give me the arrogance braggart with a keen eye for what is might work every time.
Or else let me drive the damn raft.
