In Louisiana, yes--the jury in LA only decides capital sentencing. Judges do the rest.

There’s this new breed of race hustler popping up where these wannabe influencers convince these defendants it’s all rigged and the defendants should listen to the hustler. They flood social media with videos and graphics and other maroons come out supporting them. It just happened in my hometown in a rape trial. Homeboy fired like 4 lawyers, reneged on two plea deals, and kept listening to this activist lady who would give him AI slop to file and he got lit the frick in a jury trial.
That same racebaiter is now at the KA trial. She travels the circuit to the next big thing. It’s wild.

I noticed the ones posting in lieu of the mess all died down. They were aggregating that the judge, DA, and Austin's father were best friends, and the Metcalf twins were manhandling poor KA.
