I have a general distrust of minority and female doctors for a very logical reason, were they an affirmative action candidate or really qualified? This is a well known phenomenon.
If it's a non minority Male you know the ONLY way they advanced is that they were the best of the best.
Outside of the many other unknown variables would you choose a doctor who may or may not have been advanced because the tone of their skin or one who actually excelled despite the racist admission policies practiced against certain groups like Asians.
I'll take the safe bet any day of the week.

So would you go to a Caribbean-trained Caucasian doctor over a minority doctor trained in the US?

Some of the hardest working individuals I've ever met were of Hispanic descent. Meanwhile we have whites and blacks whose families have been here over a century, yet they contribute practically nothing to society.
The irony is that this board is composed primarily of Louisianans (or former residents). We know Louisiana has multiple problems with attracting businesses and has high poverty rates.
