re: Dear GA conservatives who slipped the runoff

10 million people in GA could have voted for the Republican candidates and the democrats would have come up with 10 million and one votes for the Dem candidates.
…and what’s more, anyone who dared to question how a state with a population of 10.7M somehow produced 20M votes would be labeled a racist and insurrectionist.
This is the banana republic we live in now.

No way that cake was ever going to get cut but the way the Dems wanted, no matter who voted. 2020 Presidential election proved that! GOP went along with it.

It took all I had in me but I actually voted for the 2 slimy establishment Republicans
ETA: and it may have been discussed already but do you not think the seat would still be filled with a leftist if we had a 52-48 majority?

Probably.

This is something that was also said back during the runoff which is total BS. Perdue is not or ever has been establishment. Loeffler maybe maybe not.

Idiots on this board are their own worst enemy. I think they like having something to bitch about and come up w/ conspiracies as to why they don't get their way.

One of the biggest insider traders during his time in senate. He’s in it to increase his wealth. He’s slimy.

I don’t blame people at all for losing confidence in the system and choosing to abstain. If a person believes that the state elections were compromised to fix a result, why would they think it would be different a few weeks later?

This exact mindset right here is what lost the runoffs. Congrats on being stupid and shortsighted at the same time.

He was already wealthy before he ran for Senate and why would Trump pick him to primary Kemp?

No. You can try to rewrite history along with the rest of the limp-dick demographic.
The Republican turnout for the runoff was higher than it has ever been in gross numbers. As a percent of the people who voted in the general election, it was higher than it has ever been.

Beyer wouldnt have retired if the Rinos held the senate, he would have held out longer.

What?

Except it wasn’t. Less Republicans voted in the runoff than in the general.

Again, not true. It was higher in the general.
Comparisons to pre-2020 election turnout are stupid and irrelevant. The simple fact of the matter is that the 250,000 Republicans who voted in the general but stayed home for the runoff cost the GOP both Georgia seats.

You are a fig and you can’t read.
Posted on 1/27/22 at 8:24 am to the808bass
Oh please do explain then, how GOP turnout was higher in any way in the runoff than it was in the general? Nothing before 2020 matters at all.

Georgia has regular runoffs races because of their stupid rules.
More people voted Republican than in any previous runoff.
More people voted Republican in the runoff as a percentage of people who voted Republican in the general than in any previous runoff.
You jagoffs who think of yourselves as moderates but really just don’t have any real convictions want to beat the turnout drum because you don’t have shite else.

19 pseudo republican senators voted for a feaux infrastructure bill. 10% of the trillion dollar bill was for true infrastructure.
Posted on 1/27/22 at 8:33 am to ForeverEllisHugh
Are we operating under the assumption that the GOP would block this nominee if we had 52?
I'm not sure you can make that assumption.

Totally and completely irrelevant, unless we’re giving out gold stars for participation. Turnout nationwide was higher, in every jurisdiction at every level in every state.
quote:

Same exact comment as above. Not a high enough percentage went back and voted again. It’s very very simple math. Comparisons to past elections are completely useless.

This makes no sense.
Simple fact: If Republicans who voted in the general election would have showed up for the runoff, the GOP wins both seats. Republicans who voted the first time and stayed home for the runoff lost the election.
No past turnout number, percentage, or anything else matters or is relevant to that fact.
