Has any one else here felt when talking with a Trump hater that they act like the worst irrational woman you've ever had to deal with?

Some of these people you just can't reach. My dad has mega TDS, still believes in Russia Russia Russia, and literally turns red whenever he sees him. It's the strangest thing. He's been at the same unionized job for 30 years so the economy angle doesn't really make it to him. This guy changed his affiliation so he could vote for Bloomberg in the primary. I couldn't help but laugh when he told me.

My mother would vote for a great grandchild of Hitler or Mao with a (D) before even considering Trump. She is retired and lives off her 401k but will not even considered the impact Biden will have economically. It's like talking with a 3 year old about nuclear physics.

My experience has been different. The Trump haters I knew in 2016 all had the same argument:
He's not presidential.
He's mean.
He had too many wives.
He shouldn't tweet.
Today, they don't love him, but they're going to vote for him.

Whenever I encounter one, I ask what don’t you like him?
The answer usually is, “‘Cuz he’s a (insert predicate)!”
My answer is always the same- “Give me on example that shows he’s a (name predicate).”
That’s usually the end of it but every once in a while I’ll add something like “thought so”

There is a gay guy that I work with who I just troll all day long. He has major TDS and refers to Trump as that "orange fat frick" (English is his second language). Anyway, I just mess with him about everything to watch him get pissy.
The other day he sneezed and I said, "Damn you better get some Hydroxychloroquine. It works wonders!"
He's also always on TikTok so yesterday I berated him for being a CCP shill and told him he's giving up all his data and that Mao Zedong was going to show up at his doorstep
It's been kind of slow at work lately...

It's insane. They literally all say the same bullshite, and it's always something they believe instead of data and facts. Emotion is the only reason to not like Trump. He hurts your weak little feelings.

Have similar experience with someone who should know better, i.e., not a derelict 20-something. This person scolded me for supporting Trump and justifies voting for Biden's leftist policies this way: "Trump's in bed with Putin, Biden's a joke but that makes him harmless."
1) TDS is a real phenomenon
2) Biden (or at least his operatives) may have a method in his apparent madness.
Appreciate the thread, trying to be confident that the choice for Trump is obvious for anyone who is not a flaming lib, but I've had some experiences that suggest Trump supporters really need to show up at the polls this November. There are middle class people who have been duped by the constant barrage of anti- Trump media.

I’ve stopped trying to convince anybody from making me feel bad about supporting Trump.
Trump is mostly every bad thing that they accuse him of. But he doesn’t scream about aborting babies being a right and try to demean POC by telling them that the other side wants them in chains.
I’ll never campaign for Trump but I’m done with people trying to shame me into voting for a moron lifelong politician that’s claiming to fix the same problems he’s been a part of for 40 years.

I love my dad but he really likes the sound of his own voice. I've been tuning him out for a long time now unless he says something with some substance or we're talking about sports. I'm pretty moderate on most issues, I'm honestly a lot like Tim Pool where I'm a disaffected liberal (someone who believes strongly in personal liberty not a "liberal" like it gets thrown colloquially). I'd consider voting for Dems if they would nominate some people who weren't batshit crazy. I hold my nose and hit the R button.

My Grandmother died 30 years ago. She raised 3 kids in the 30s, my Dad was born in 1940. That Depression hardness was in her until her dying day.
I remember as a 5 year old watching the Watergate hearings, and Grandma muttering "Goddamn Democrats", not because of politics, but because she was missing Guiding Light or whatever.
But even into her last years in the late 90's. no matter what was going wrong, she would mutter "Goddamn Democrats"
Here's to you Grandma,
