The Dems allowed her to win. They think Karrin's voters won't turn out for Lake, but that had Karrin won, a large percentage of Lake's voter would hold their nose and vote for Karrin.
IMHO the Dems allowed enough votes for Lake to insure that Republican turnout is low in the fall. It's just an added measure to make the November shenanigans (that the Dems normally do in order to win in November) aren't so blatant so as to be obvious to everyone, unless it's completely and absolutely necessary. Dems have reached that point where you should all realize Dems are untouchable. They'll keep it interesting and play this sleight of hand crap with voters and make it seem like everything is on the up-n-up, but make no mistake: they are pulling serious strings and are NOT going to let Lake get that governorship in Arizona.
