If you watch YouTube videos of Americans visiting Iran you will see that they are not in the streets screaming "death to America". Once again the American people have been brainwashed into believing media propaganda. Normal everyday citizens around the world share the same morals.

You do realize those pictures are 50 years old, right? Why not post a few of the beautiful Iranian people of today responsible for destroying that way of life?
Comprehension is not your strong suit

In their own community they do, else they will get fricked up by their neighbors. That's how civilizations are designed.

Not until you get them in a crowd, and they are wound up from drinkin red bulls.

Keep reading, I corrected it. The last picture he posted was from the women protesting that the forced hijab rule wasn't being enforced hard enough. Really.

How do you suggest we bring peace to Iran? How many million Iranians are you willing to kill to bring "peace"? The population is 88 million.
How about we just let them figure it out for themselves? Only one of our solutions requires genocide.

My OP wasn't really about pity for anyone. It was more about surprise at the audacity of Iranian (leadership?).
To just go and kill over 200 of your own people in the street. You really do view them as cattle, or you are very afraid of them, one or the other. Probably the latter, because there is no way that the people in power can think, even in their wildest dreams, that this will help them achieve anything good for them.

Yes they are afraid of their own people. That's why at moments of protest they shut down their internet as well. When nations fear their citizens' discourse and attempt to silence them they fear their people. Does that sound similar to a situation we are facing here? Pompeo's message is ringing loud and clear to the youth of Iran. This is a battle for the hearts and minds of the Iranian people. They are not lost and are a proud people with amazing tradition. I pray they succeed in overthrowing the tyrannical oppression under which they live. I also pray that leaders like Pompeo stay in power long enough to ensure that will be done. Everyone ought to listen to the words of Pompeo. He gets it and so does Trump for allowing him to guide other nations down this path. It is his same plan for Brazil and Cuba. It takes time but the people must choose a better alternative and not be forced. Patience, pressure and economic strength.

Obama would never be associated with a regime that turn on their people because of exercising an opinion.

Inbreeding from first-cousin marriages is a very serious problem in Islam. Don't take my word for it:
1st cousin marriages were relatively common throughout human history. One estimate puts 80% of all human marriages as between 1st-cousins. In the smaller villages where most humans lived up until industrialization, there were fairly few options for marriage. After industrialization, the West in general moved away from such arrangements, though slower than one would think.
He's a decent overview of consanguinity. LINK

Probably the latter,
That's exactly what I'm seeing here with this rediculous Impeachment effort by the democrats. Fundamental to the imposition of tyranny is gaining and maintaining power. Once total power is gained, then the system goes about stripping the masses of the ability to resist. Study history and you see this scheme replayed time and time again. Gain total power, identify and eliminate the political opposition.......then strip the masses of individual rights. Whether it's a Islamic tyrant or a Marxist-Communist the mode of operation is the same.
