It's likely to happen since some counties data doesnt get into the report until Tuesday when they return to work on Monday.

I think we dip below 23,500 for tomorrow- morning more than my gut to go on though. Just sending positive vibes if nothing else!

I would still argue we may not have peaked in deaths yet for a one day total. We still have a week to go before the 14ish day period to hit from our peak of case numbers.

This is reasonable and likely.

Deaths will trail new cases. That's barebones logic.

Glad to see the Monday and Tuesday "weekend bump" in new cases didn't happen this week. That's very good news.

Yeah, but the death numbers are inflated so that doesn't really concern me.

NY threw in a few thousand assumed COVID19 deaths today into their overall number. The death numbers are going to exceed the reality of who actually dies from COVID19.

They added (some if not all have not been added to the Worldometer data) 3,789 probable deaths, even with those deaths and the confirmed deaths, NYC still has an excess mortality of about 3,100 (100 per day) deaths than expected, 68% more than usual (4,550 expected).

In other words, NYC was expected to have about 4,550 deaths from March 13th through April 12th, but they had a total of over 18,000 deaths. That an excess of about 13,500 deaths and only about 10,400 of those deaths are in the confirmed or probable COVID-19 deaths.

So if anything, the confirmed and probable deaths combined totals are less than the true totals.

Even with inflated numbers, 600 people lost their job for every death.

Meh...many experts believe (and lots of doctors) think the number of COVID19 deaths being reported are not accurate. Many are dying from things not COVID19.

The "death rate" that is currently provided for the United States is greatly exaggerated.

Abbott is releasing a Covid-19 IgG test now. If they haven't publicly announced it yet i'm sure they will soon.

I appreciate the work that you guys are trying to do, but GARBAGE IN = GARBAGE OUT. The data that you are getting is crap. We won't have a clue how many people actually died from COVID-19 for a while. It will take real statistical work which this is not...

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/apr/15/new-york-city-tallies-probable-coronavirus-deaths-/

quote:
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Wednesday said the city added “probable” coronavirus-related deaths to its tally to give a picture of the “full extent” of the crisis.

The fact is we have to be honest and always acknowledge the full impact, the human impact, the impact on families this disease has had,” Mr. de Blasio said on CNN’s “New Day.”

The city’s health department on Tuesday had added more than 3,700 “probable” COVID-19 deaths to its toll, bringing the city’s total to 10,367 deaths among a population of about 8.6 million people.

quote:
Mr. Cuomo has acknowledged that there could be an undercounting of people who had died from the virus, since people who die in their homes could slip through the cracks in terms of the data the state is receiving.

This is the link to the US state level tracker that I have shared via Google Drive. Chromdome's State Level COVID-19 Daily Tracker
This is the link to the COVID-19 Country tracker that I have shared on Google Drive. Chromdome's COVID-19 Daily Tracker

On the state level tracker the states I have available right now are listed below. I will be adding additional states in the coming days.
Arkansas, Louisiana, New York, Georgia, Florida, California

The source for the data is https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
The source for the testing data is from https://covidtracking.com/data/

On the tracker sheet you will see tabs for the following data:
1) US Summary
2) Country Comparables: This shows you how the US stacks up vs. select other countries dealing with COVID-19
3) Logarithmic Comparisons - Shows the US vs the other countries on the tracker.
4) Covid Vs Other Outbreaks - Compares the current COVID numbers to the last 10 years of flue and H1N1
5) US Weighted Averages - Explores 7 day vs 3 day weight average trends
6) Italy Summary
7) UK Summary
8) France Summary
9) Germany Summary
10) Sweden Summary
11) World Summary

NOTE: The daily growth rate data will not be accurate until the end of the day's postings. It will change throughout the day.
NOTE: I am not tracking individual states, I don't have a reliable consistent source for that data.
NOTE: I am not a mathematician, statistics guru, scientist, sharpest tack in the box, I'm just a guy who likes to understand for myself what is happening and to share it with others. This thread was not created to debate if you should or shouldn't take this seriously, it is simply to present the numbers and foster conversation.

NOTE: I have added a prediction number to the bottom of the data grid. This simply takes the previous days numbers and grows them at the previous day's growth rate. It should give the viewer some idea of what the numbers will look like today. Obviously, the final number for the day will be higher or lower based on what today's growth rate actualy is. This is just a simple indicator.

I think we all know there are issues with the data that we're seeing. If you followed the thread from the start you will see lots of discussion about the quality of the numbers.

That being said, these are the only numbers we have so its what we're running with. I'd much rather have this resource than rely on CNN or Fox to tell me what to believe.

I'm not faulting you guys. I check this thread daily and hope / pray for good news / falling numbers. Unfortunately the stats will be used by the enemies as proof of OMB. Schiff has already hinted at such.

Even though they are likely valid, none of those have been added to the state totals as of right now. So none of those are reflected in chromedome's report.

New York 203,123 10,834 175,200 10,354 552 499,143 25,443

The question is how many deaths outside of NYC?
