Never heard of a Baptist Church that prevents this.
Yeah. Can she prescribe drugs to gays? Divorced people? People that are saying "god damn" right in front of her?

Sounds more like you’re arguing for the right never to be slightly inconvenienced.

But that isn’t what his statement was about. CVS is at liberty to fire her if she won’t—they’re a private company. He made it about healthcare in general. She shouldn’t be prohibited from being an NP because she doesn’t want to prescribe birth control.

What a silly question. She isn’t passing out a drug that causes divorce.

Also, who gets to be the arbiter of whether her religious belief is sincerely held?

Why would he? It sounds like they just had one of the other employees fill and had out those prescriptions. No inconvenience to the customer at all.

If prescribing birth control goes against your faith, don't work in a job that expects you to prescribe birth control. It's really that simple.

You know as well as I that the (purported) Constitutional authority for the CRA is not found in the First Amendment.

Someone explain to me how being shitty at your job is your religion.

Was she?

Sounds like a pretty good employee to me. Has a fundamental issue with something the company needs her to do, so she takes on herself to not only work with the company to express her issues, but provides the company with a work around so that she is not negatively impacting the company or the customers in any way so that her personal beliefs do not interfere with others. We could generally use more employees like her in the world if what has been reported is accurate.

Now, if you'd like me to explain how CVS is being a shitty employer, I can do that.

Here's where small government conservatives want the government to protect an employee of a private company unwilling to fulfill their job responsibilities.

Why the hypocrisy?

"Religious Beliefs"

Oh that's why.

When someone uses this term, I always wonder whether they are referencing Laenas or Travis.
