Can anyone doubt that the political leadership at the Minneapolis City Hall made a political calculation that ordering the MPD to stand down and allow the city to be turned over to mob rule was a risk worth taking because the optics of confronting and arresting young black lawbreakers was not worth the scrutiny it would bring from the Lords of Opinion in the MSM?
