GOPe Desantis
Desantis's platform is by far the most "like" Trump's (and substantially more conservative on many issues) of any other serious candidate.
You are living in absolute lalaland with the "GOPe Desantis" nonsense.

Good. You're obviously not a bright person, I am ok with that.

How desperate are you Ronbois?

You have to love it when someone who is a known idiot thinks their personal opinion of you is some kind of indictment.

But it could be worthy of study, just for entertainment purposes if for nothing else, just for those who prefer the pragmatic approach to politics, and still regard it as "the art of the possible."
Instead of as one more experiment in fantasy feel-goodism and viewing reality as how one wishes it were (the political optative).
Have to admit it's a new experience being categorized as a clinical Eric Hoffer-style true believer cultist of the type who joined congregations like those of Yahweh Ben Yahweh, Tom Alamo, and Arvin Shreve's Society of Zion.
But if we're going to involve in more than a little smug exaggeration and misnomer, then let's go all out.

So when DeSantis wins the primary are you staying home or voting for Pedo Joe? I mean if Trump wins the primary I'm voting for him in the general so when he loses, I can say I told you so.
He won't vote for DeSantis because he'll only vote for the guy who'll shovel cash like a madman at permanent Washington, appoint swampers to key positions, extend Fisa and expand gov's surveillance powers, and let Leftist bureaucrats take charge when they gin up a "national emergency". And he thinks he's anti-establishment.

“How could anyone support a guy that I hate so deeply?”
What’s funny is that your hatred of Trump isn’t your own opinion. You’ve been told to hate him. And you’ve adopted that belief in a very religious like way.
It’s amazing how you have this inside scoop to my head.
I wasn’t told to hate Trump, and I wouldn’t say I hate him anyways. I voted for him in ’16 and was extremely excited during the campaign and leading up to the miraculous defeat of Hillary. Don’t believe me? Go search for my posts back then. I’m not sure how to access the election board but they’re all in there and you’ll definitely see I was all aboard the Trump train as they said. Over time though I started to realize campaign Trump was far different than President Trump. And that also we all got caught up in the excitement of the election and leading up to it, not just from Trump but also the Wikileaks releases, the Hillary email ordeal, and everything else going on.
Once that wore off I realized he was just another politician. Someone who will say anything whether they believe it or not for votes/attention/popularity. And not just that, he was dangerous to the republic in general. If he was truly "America First MAGA" etc he would remind his cultist followers that he is just a man and not infallible because I think many of them (JJdoc for example) have completely forgotten that and cheer on and try to justify literally anything he says or does. That plus things like his telling Pence to not seat the electoral college after the 2020 election, giving Fauci a platform to destroy the economy, and spending like there’s no tomorrow show me that he doesn’t need to be anywhere around the Oval Office anymore and needs to fade into obscurity so that hopefully his lemming followers snap out of the trance they’re in.

Absolutely. And the question is how much damage can the Dems do until that day finally comes.

Trump fought for me and family longer and harder than every President in my lifetime combined. In spite of all of his faults he has earned my loyalty.
By giving a guy a platform to absolutely tank our economy? And spending the country into oblivion? It’s amazing the things that get excused and because he "talked tough" you view it as fighting hard for you and your family. Do you have kids or grandkids? How do you feel about Trump using their credit cards to run the debt up substantially? That doesn’t sound like fighting for them

The Republican party is infested with a large number of politicians that are as destructive to our country as Democrats. Many of them don't care at all about policy, or right/wrong.
You are admittedly a young guy so perhaps that’s why you can’t see it. But neither does Trump. I know shocking right? He'll tell you whatever he thinks you want to hear no matter what he actually believes or does. And the even more bizarre thing is he doesn’t have to tell you anything. The cultist on here constantly come up with their own theories and ideas about what Trump meant by such and such, what his strategies are regarding xyz, and pretend you have this direct line to his brain. The mental gymnastics I’ve seen people put themselves through just so they don’t have to admit that he’s clueless and just in it for the attention is astounding.

It seems even more dems feel that same loyalty to their incumbent. They aren’t even allowing a primary to happen. Where’s your endless threads about how unhinged they are?
Democrats know that all they have to do is keep it together and avoid infighting and they retain the WH. That's not about loyalty to Biden, it's a political strategy.
They are very disciplined when it comes to political strategy, yes.

GOPe candidates have campaigned as conservatives forever. It's what led to the Tea Party movement and then 2016.
I swear, Desantis supporters don't understand the last 20 years and the damage that has been done within the GOP.
