The European upper class in Mexico actively encourages the native underclass to leave. It's an apartheid system that is never addressed.
The ruling class of Mexico criticizes the United States for making it hard for them to offload their poor onto us.
Imagine if we were mass-exporting poor blacks to Canada, in the millions. And then you had our president chastising Canada for being against it and, in fact, not welcoming more and making it easier.
This is a very under discussed issue. The wealth and income gaps in Mexico are astronomical and add to their problems in a massive way.
It’s much easier to blame the US for the issues South of the border but until a lot changes in Mexico it won’t matter what the US policies are.

I don’t want to overstate it, but the poor Irish neighborhoods in the Boston area are ethnic ghettos, and with multi generational poverty.
That's far more the exception than the rule for descendants of Irish immigrants, though.

That was like watching a horse race, and you could see Mexico coming fast down the back stretch!!

It’s still the second largest non English demographic in the United States, if I remember correctly.
Whole swathes of the country are German.

Besides typical European immigrants, some of the best people are middle eastern Christians. Immigrants from Lebanon, Syria, Iran, etc.
(I'm not in that group, FYI)
Lots of immigrants from that area from the 50s and 60s that are great Americans.

Justin Castro would be permacreaming his pants at this prospect though.

quote:Yep, the left doesn't have to convince Americans to vote for destructive leftist policies. All they have to do is continue replacing Americans by using legal and illegal immigration. The new Americans will gladly vote for progressive policies in what were once strong red states.
All according to plan
Texas in 2018 is a great example of this.

This should be the #1 issue in the election

The 1965 Immigration Act did everything it's opponents said it would do to the demographics in this country.
Democrats, led by Lying Ted Kennedy, claimed it would not alter our demographics in a meaningful way.
Democrats ALWAYS LIE.
