Reminder that Bernie is a millionaire Marxist, so he doesn't know how to do that right. It's not fair, not equal. I'm not a millionaire.

JEEBUS

And saying "Amazon workers..." as if he could lump ALL into a smaller group with less desirable circumstances is different than the complaints of "Racist" Trump supposedly calling "immigrants" 'Animals'?

I would like to think that I'd be more generous that Jeff Bezos if I was making as much bank as he is.

Of course, I'm not a liberal douche who runs around preaching about what others should do as I do the opposite.

If you make 50K per year and have 9 kids, you can get $1400 in snap benefits based on my first run using this site.

I was pretty charitable in what I used too. I suspect I could make that number go up.

Bernie is actually correct. It is ridiculous that Amazon is making so much lira and they pay their employees relatively poorly AND they don't any federal income tax.

But other than the tax issue, what does that have to do with the government?

Did you mean to say that Amazon pays no federal taxes? Do you have a link for that?

You know I bet if they were all the CEO of Amazon, they would have their net worth increase by 275MM daily as well. But I bet they don't do anything to merit that kind of money.

fricking dumbass...

So by Bernie's math for his talking point is based off of a very short time in the guys life.

Its the same as someone saying they are on pace to make over 3 million this year after they hit a 10k jackpot at a slot machine

Correct, in 2017 Amazon paid ZERO federal income tax on profits of $8.2B

Now, that's all legal mind you, but that isn't right. Capitalism be damned.

I don't like Bernie, and don't think he's very bright. That being said Bezos/Amazon is getting so many tax breaks, it's unacceptable. Not to mention, the man is a Leftist prick.

The beauty of capitalism is that employment is a mutual agreement. If an employee feels he’s not earning what he’s worth, he can quit and get hired by the company that is willing to pay him what he thinks he’s worth. If no other employer will pay him what he thinks he’s worth, then he overvalued himself.

But for a lot of people.. their trade/career exists in one factory/office in their area. The reason people stay in shite jobs for shite pay is because they don't have the means to take a risk and leave.. they have to provide for their family.. or their wife would have to leave her job too. Homes crop up around places of employment and that can tilt the balance massively in favor of the employer.

But really when you look at capitalism like you do.. it would also be true that the employees goal should be to do as little work as possible while being friendly and just productive enough to maintain your reputation, keep opportunities elsewhere available, and avoid poor performance marks at work. Both sides trying to rip each other off.

I'll stick to civil service I think

Bernie should sell one of his houses and liquidate some of his nicest toys and donate the money to those poor folks.

What a load of bullshite. $275M over the course of 365 days is over $100B dollars a year. Bezos is currently worth about $130B.

Actually, when you look at capitalism like I do, you take a job (entry level of need be) with a company that has opportunities for advancement. You work hard to earn promotions, so you can make more money and give yourself management experience that you may one day take with you should you decide to explore other opportunities.

All of which is what I did in my 20’s when I worked for a family owned business in Texas.
