When all the smoke clears and Trump is proven correct/right (AGAIN), there will be two reactions.

First, the ignorant/brainwashed left and their comrades in the mainstream media will assure/gaslight their cult followers into believing it was the idea of and started by Obama and Biden.

Second, the RINOs and the Establishment filth will assure us all that Trump just got lucky.

VAT is an asymmetric import tax .... PERIOD!

Wrong. It is symmetric in that it is paid by their manufacturers and providers as well.

The VAT does not give their companies a competitive advantage; tariffs do give a country’s companies a competitive advantage.

They are not "bending the knee", they are negotiating and making deals. We shouldn't be using this term for their willingness to play ball. They are not subservient.
I agree with a talking financial head that President Trump only halved the tariffs to offer an opportunity for other countries to come to the table and negotiate. Other countries know he can equal their tariff, but is holding back for negotiating space. I like that he's leaving the door open for talking and not just slamming shut at 100% equivalent. In the event a country doesn't play ball, he'll say they're not cooperating and raise to 100% in front of the world saying that they not being fair. Wise dude.

I noticed they quit crying about egg prices (which was hilarious) all of the sudden.

I do see some reason for hope that someone like JD Vance

Tru dat - I am extremely impressed with JD - I think we will be in great hands at the top of the ticket when DJT retires. Vance could be the Obama/Clinton status leader for then next few decades = intelligent - eloquent - quick thinking - morally based - easily understandable, none of which any dem in memory has displayed.

Obama and Clinton were speaking out of 'this is what we need to say" - JD speaks logical truth. = HUGE difference to any thinking person.

Value Added Taxes are like sales taxes - they don't discriminate based on country of origin and are applied equally to foreign or domestic products.

Yeah, why is that winning?

That ensures that American jobs will stay overseas, not repatriate.

It's an expansion of NAFTA and Globalism.

Why is that winning?
