Could Andrew Jackson have prevented a civil war battle that didn't exist?

Trump made up a fake Civil War battle to commemorate on his golf course
quote:

Reporters from the paper told him they'd spoken with multiple local historians, all of whom said there was no Civil War battle within 11 miles of the plaque. The exchange that followed was quintessentially Trumpian:

"That was a prime site for river crossings," Mr. Trump said. "So, if people are crossing the river, and you happen to be in a civil war, I would say that people were shot — a lot of them."

There are things for people who voted for Trump to be upset about. This is not one of them.

It is something else to laugh at him about, though. I'm sure our board historians will dig up a "River of Blood" battle that actually took place somewhere in the world and point out how close it is to his plaque.

Because they're too dumb to know why this is funny and embarrassing?

Sure, but it's amusing seeing people try to use very detailed, complex, and lesser known historical events to justify a goofy comment. They could have just used his unique knowledge of the "The River of Blood" crossing.

I mean he's such a history buff, that he knows of these unknown historical events. Why not use that knowledge to highlight his prowess?

Which one of the 57 states did this battle take place? I'm asking for Barack.

Imagine if Bush or Obama actually double-downed on a mistake and created a plaque to commemorate it.

This is my favorite part:
quote:

"How would they know that?" Mr. Trump asked when told that local historians had called his plaque a fiction. "Were they there?"

So posting a link to another hilarious Trump gaffe is disgusting, but fabricating a Civil War Battle to somehow pimp your golf course is completely rational and above board. You guys are funny.

Speak for yourself. I get a good laugh every time Trump shows how much of an idiot and a liar he is. Have to admit my sides are starting to hurt a little from laughing, so it would be nice if someone would duct tape his mouth shut and keep him off Twitter for a couple of hours.

If you look at the plaque it doesn't actually say anything about a battle.

I hope he keeps you knuckleheads focused on this type of stuff for 8 years.

He did this through the whole campaign while you idiots laughed saying he is done.

Mr. President!
