Cornyn, as my senator, never even had the common decency to respond with a form email when I emailed his office numerous times regarding concerns I had. Ted Cruz at least pretended to hear my grievances. I am so glad he has been ousted.

He is not wrong according to a number of take no prisoners campaign consultants who I know. There are a lot of campaign expenses that just don't work anymore. For starters people don't answer their door, especially in the daytime when a wife might be at home. I don't even see the mailouts because wife, like most people, see junk mail and throw away immediately.

This changes no minds. It just lets people know, on your side, that an effort is being made. The rare diligent canvasser will learn more about the candidate they are working for than all the media play. They will meet people who have actually know the candidate, some will have even been helped by the candidate personally and significantly. That is my own personal experience.
I did it for fun and for free.

Presler is not the first to be hired to get teams of canvassers. He's just openly gay. There are many grifters in the campaign business. Companies which put out mailers are grifters too. Campaign consultants get commissions on printing and mailer services.
A friend who lived on Galveston Bay at Beach City (Baytown area) had a next door neighbor (hardcore Democrat) who made his money with such a mailing service in Houston.
