This poor woman and her family. I honestly fear for her and the others' safety. Why would these people put their families through this if it wasn't true? Why would they all agree to TV interviews? It defies logic.

quote:

An attorney for Leigh Corfman, whose story of a sexual encounter with Roy Moore when he was 32 and she was 14, broke today, said Corfman stands by her story.

Hoover attorney Eddie Sexton told AL.com that Corfman has wanted to publicly talk about the time in 1979 when Moore dated her, but never felt like it was the right time.

"Her kids are out of the house now, grown, and I think she felt like it was the right time to do it," said Sexton. "I'm sure she was scared to death."

Corfman's son, Garner Polston, referred AL.com to Corfman's attorney but said, "I can say that my mom has no reason to lie about this."

I honestly fear for your sanity................. She felt like it was the time to do it? Do you not even question the timing of these accusations? You can't be serious......But you are..........That is truly frightening.

I’m just sick of allegations with no proof. If it did happen, I’m sorry. But the time to report it was when it happened or not long after.

To wait until now, right before the election, knowing it’ll just cause shock and harm and give no time for him to defend himself is bullshite

Spare me the histrionics.

If it is true, the Washington Post is as evil as Roy Moore. They sought her out. Convinced her to come forth. And only care about destroying Roy Moore. If they cared the least bit about this woman it would not publicized to the entire world.

This. If you want your allegations taken seriously, try not waiting 30 years.

Yeah, 1979 was really an enlightened time for a poor 14 year old girl and her mother to accuse an up and coming lawyer. Give me a break.

I agree. If you're raped or sexually assaulted, report your crime IMMEDIATELY. Not wait 30 years. It defies logic to wait DECADES

If you were consistent in seeking out the truth I could take you serious. But alas, I cannot.

Roy Moore has been running for major elections in Alabama since. None of those times were right?

What about the primary they JUST HAD 3 months ago?

The summer of 2017 wasn't as enlightened of a time I guess.

Wasn't a really enlightened time for Gays either. Yet I bet if you got jumped or were a victim of a crime I'm damn sure you would have came forward then.

I'd be scared to death too if I was lying for pay. Especially if it was to influence an election to the United States Senate. I'd feel like Patriots aren't doing their job if someone lying for pay to influence an election wasn't scared to death
