If this was the cop who made that video about LeBron James from his squad car while in uniform I can understand why he was fired. I'm in the military and, while we are allowed to say whatever the hell we want outside of uniform, our speech is severely restricted while in uniform. I imagine the same holds true for cops. Had I made a similar video while in uniform, I would have been disciplined for it. Had he made the video while dressed in civilian clothes I don't think he would have been fired.

I have a good buddy in the Navy who says the same. I respect highly the point you and he make and in general completely agree that’s how it should be.
I will offer insofar as I can tell, the enforcement aspect is perceived to being applied to only one of the two major political viewpoints.
Now whether that’s because all pro-woke personnel are being good and compliant -or- they just don’t get disciplined for their views I can’t say.
I do know I don’t seem to hear about those cases, if they happen.

I thought his video was hilarious and had an obvious truth element. But how many people in this thread are speaking out on the firing have also told athletes to "shut up and dribble".

I unfortunately have some Uber liberal military family, and while don’t spew their venom in uniform, it’s directly above and below posts where they are in uniform. And 100% of their uniformed friends are libs, it’s sickening.
