And yet if you've ever visited, you know that as you walk around town, go to bars night clubs, and restaurants, shop, whatever, you would never sense that it's a police state.
Until you do something illegal.
You may be too young to remember, but there was an infamous incident 20 - 30 years ago when an American teenager in Singapore was sentenced to being lashed with a bullwhip for spitting his gum out on the sidewalk.

You think assimilation includes converting to Christianity?
I think we are in a civilizational war. Birthrates, religious assimilation, mass migration are all part of it. The idea that we have secular values that can be maintained regardless of the religious affiliations of our citizens is pollyannish.

He was caned for multiple instances of vandalism, that had 0 to do with chewing gum.

I agree that people should assimilate, but I don't expect people to convert to Christianity.
I know some normal Hindus (and other religions) and I know some bat-shite crazy Christians (from a religious perspective)

Explain the "no naked show at home" one to me.
Does that mean your wife / girlfriend can't perform a strip-tease show for you in the privacy of your own bedroom?
$10K fine for using "unauthorized wifi"???
Yeah, that is a police state.

Indians literally throw and play in cow manure for Diwali. The less Jeets America has, the better.

It is said that in Jesus missing years he was in India and studied the Buddist and Hindu religions.
These are in fictional works from the 19th and 20th century. There are no ancient writings - not even non-canonical or apocryphal - that describe Jesus going east to India. Jesus is most likely a fictional, non-historical character to start with.
