This seems like a weak talking point.
She will soon be making $174k/yr and will be fine.
Rent in DC is absurdly expensive.
I am sure first year congresspersons from LA, AL, MS, KY, ND, SD, NM, etc who are also rookie politicians have never had an issue with high rents in DC.
There are plenty of things to mock her for, like her lack of knowledge on policy, her socialism ideals, her crazy eyes, etc.
She will soon be making $174k/yr and will be fine.

She’s 29 years old and I don’t believe she’s from a wealthy family. She will collect no salary for the next 3 months. I’m no fan of hers but it’s understandable that she can’t affors an apartment in DC until her salary kicks in.
If we want to open the door for non-wealthy, unconnected citizens to serve in Congress - and I know I do - this will be an obstacle for many.

I’m not a fan of her politics but I have no problem with her not having much money. DC is full of rich families, we can deal with some broke ones too.
