Many of these diseases (TB, Whooping Cough and others) are infecting some US citizen children because their parents chose not to vaccinate them. That's just fine when the disease is no longer in the U.S. but - oops - people travel here from all over the world. There's a reason nearly every hotel in NYC has bed bugs.
Now, these kids crowded together are likely passing a host of issues back & forth but I'm more concerned about the long term affects of supporting so many. These children will needed to have their health treated, be educated, fed, clothed... Without tax paying parents, I can only guess who will be signing those checks.

Don't get me started on these celebrities and their no vaccination crap. 
I'm as concerned with this as the long term health effects. These people in warehouses aren't working. They're getting free food, free healthcare, and healthcare workers and other humanitarian aid workers are paid to take care of them. And I know who is signing those checks......those of us who work and pay taxes. And I don't get free healthcare and no one is serving me 3 meals a day.
It's bad in every way. The federal government is obligated to enforce the law. They're obligated to protect the citizens of this country. They are failing at this.
I'm all for legal immigration. It's the illegal part that bothers me.

Yea whatever Grits. Actually much of what I said was not based on opinion but fact. I ain't being a liberal, I'm asking for common courtesy in your posts. I know that goes against the norm for this board but it would not hurt all of us to put more emphasis on civil discourse. But that is just my opinion.

This is hard data, which takes time to collect. This has been a problem for years. There has been a recent influx of over 50,000 illegal immigrants...that they know of. It is focused on immigration from Mexico....hence the name The U.S.-Mexico Border Infectious Disease Surveillance Project.
I'm sure the CDC is full of shite though. When is HHS going to make them pull this data down? Wouldn't surprise me if it disappeared due to a hard drive crash or an executive order.
In 10 more years, when we all have TB, scabies, etc they will have all of the hard damn data that they need to show the health risks. Only it will be too late.
What position are you supporting? The shutting down of the border to keep these people out, or not letting a sitting US Congressman inside to see what is going on?
ETA: I went back and read the rest of the thread. I see that we most likely agree.
