"There is no excuse for denying a Federal Representative from Oklahoma access to a federal facility in Oklahoma where unaccompanied children are being held," he said.
Not good. Bring the smoke Congressman.

I remember a Representative from Texas going on Walton & Johnson talking about this.

Fort Still was one of three facilities set up last month to house the huge influx of unaccompanied minors crossing over Texas-Mexico border. More than 52,000 children — mostly from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador — have been apprehended this fiscal year.
WTF is Rick Perry's problem? He needs to stop that shite regardless of what the federal government says.

Is the camp equivalent to a prison?
I understand why they wouldn't let him in if it's a potential safety issue.
Also, if he brought press, I would also understand. Don't need any jackass reporters coming and being a jackass.

Are you serious?

How could they do that? Strange to me.
Why would they do that? That's my question.

Why is it okay with you that the feds deny access to an elected official who also happens to be a combat vet? Does he not have every reason to want to investigate this for himself and those he represents?

He has a responsibility to investigate this IMO.

Again, what in the hell is Rick Perry's issue? He need to stop this influx of illegals at his border. Screw Obama and the federal government. What are they going to do? File a lawsuit? Oooooo, so scared.

A few months back FedGov was in a dispute with local folks over a matter (it was in New Mexico and I think it had to do with Obama wanting to place a bunch of land under FedGov control as a national monument), and FedGov flat out refused to allow the Congressman for the area to attend meetings.
So it's not the first time the Executive Branch has told the Legislative Branch that its presence is not only unneeded, but unwelcome.
What happens if a future Congressman doesn't clap soundly enough at a future State of the Union speech?
