Why would she report it to the police? If she is a Democrat, she does not believe in law enforcement and should have gone to a therapist to find and counsel the rapist not to do that.
Then also, it's not the rapist fault. He probably had a rough childhood or is a good migrant and it's not his fault that he could not control his sexual urges.

They have a home outside the district she is running in and am apartment in the district. I'm guessing the hubby was at home, and she was at the apartment.
I question whether she should even be allowed to run for office in that district.
Also, why didn't she tell her husband right away?
My mom was raped (exactly 7:years ago today) and refused to go to the hospital. I think getting a rape test is humiliating.
However, my mom told the neighbors. who initially helped her, the police, my brother and my sisters-in-law and me. Also, my mom was refusing to go to the hospital for lots of things by then. She was afraid she couldn't come home.
I question whether she should even be allowed to run for office in that district.
