I believe their primary goal is to damage him in any way possible in order to try to weaken him for the next election as well as it being an attempt to stymie him in getting anything done (that these efforts are failing must bewilder those who actually allow themselves to be objective, even if it's only for a single moment each week). If they were to find something truly worthy of Impeachment, they would definitely go all-in on it though.

You underestimate the resolve of these crooks. Make no mistake about it this action against Donald Trump is as much an effort to push the globalist agenda as anything. The international globalist movement cannot afford to have Donald Trump succeed in isolating America from their agenda. So what is the globalist agenda? Centralization of power at the top and......(wait for it)...........CONTROL.

There is no way they will actually impeach him, because the end result will be an acquittal in the Senate, which would be a huge political win for Trump. They will keep up their song and dance through the election so that Trump is considered tainted.

It is actually election interference.. IMO

I kinda think we are in that 4th and 3 category. The offense (house dems) line up like they are going to run a play but they have nothing that they can confidently run for the yardage and so they are hoping to draw the defense (Trump or any one assosciated....staff, children) offsides (aka PR blunder that can be shaded as possible impropriety or possible covering impropriety)

The dems are playing a game they cannot win. In order to impeach the members will have to go on record. Too many of them are in a close race in 2020. Even if they do vote for it the Senate will tear it up.

their goal is to damage Trump hoping he wont win again. When that fails the day after the election they will pass the articles of impeachment before they lose the house.

Yoho just confessed on CNN in an interview, that he has chosen to not attend a single solitary deposition hearing thus far during the impeachment process. So here is a Republican who is on one of the committees, who has a VIP pass to attend and even ask questions, and he is deliberately refusing to participate.
Kinda blows up the entire Repub position, doesn't it??

Sadly, this is pretty consistently true my entire life. Having said that, the U.S. Congress of the early 1980s would destroy the current on in effectiveness. Despite partisan differences around the margins, they worked with the President to win the Cold War and usher in the longest sustained economic growth in human history.
Think how much better that group of Congressmen, Senators and administration officials made the entire World - not just the U.S.

Isn't that the same tactic they used to "pass" ObamaCare. Christmas time, dead of night and then "Bye now".

They've hung themselves either way.

They actually do have the minds of a ten year old?

Really? How does it blow up anything? Declining to participate in a sham doesn't make it any less a sham.

Lol every single time. Deflect to Obama or Hillary.
How is it a deflection when the criteria YOU started was "embarrassing comments" by a POTUS?
Do you recall how embarrassed you were when those comments were made?
Can you describe your feeling back then?
Thanks.

Note of info: there were 57 Democratic contests in the nominating process in 2008. That was the 57 to which Obama was referring when he mis-stated the word "states" for contests.
Actually there are 57 in the Oranization of Islamic States.
THAT is what he was referring to.
My evidence of that is just as strong as yours.

They aren't going to impeach Trump because congress ousting a president during an election year would have huge consequences.
Correction: They aren't going to Impeach Trump because they have nothing that rises to "high crimes and misdemeanors" thus they are doing is trying to make him flinch.
But it isn't working.
