These women and their sports are being made irrelevant right in front of them, yet they do nothing.

Well, that's already happened but not exactly transgender.
It was Title IX. A small HS had a girls softball team but not enough boys (9) for a baseball team. Part of Title IX says that if you can't field a team for one sex (girls) they can play on the boys team.
A court ruled that the 5 boys could play on the girls fast pitch team. The mixed team dominated the state.
In the semifinals a short fly to left caused a male runner on 3rd to tag up for the winning run. The throw was a bit short and the female catcher caught it 2 feet in the 3rd base line attempting to block the plate. When the collision was over the girl catcher was sprawled against the backstop.
It was a perfectly legal hit. The mixed team won state when the final opponent of girls conceded the game.

Women+ are better than women.
