Big Scrub doesn't really fall neatly into the "liberal" category. More of a "Big Scrub" category.

Well, we're not talking about 9/11 with him, so I'll indulge him to a point.

Why we we have Columbus day and why is there a Columbus circle in NYC?

Millions died because of that man.

Likewise.

Lincoln's biggest mistake.

Nope, don't give a frick what he thought about them, either.

So you don't understand the concept of honoring an honorable foe that you defeated?
The vast majority of the statues are in the traitor states. They WERE the defeated.

Or more likely you're just stupid and don't realize that there were honorable men who fought for the South during the Civil War
These "honorable men" are famous almost entirely because they led a failed traitorous rebellion. Nothing else.

By that token Martin Luther King is famous because he was assassinated. Nothing else. Let's take down all MLK statues and rename all schools and streets named after him.

Do you see where this sort of asinine "logic" can lead?

Robert Edward Lee was an American general known for commanding the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia in the American Civil War.

Funny how that bold word shows up on his as it did with the others in your earlier post.

Hope is great, but it isn't reality.

Are you historically illiterate? Up until his assassination Martin Luther KIng was a bit player in events. That's a fact. That is not to say had he lived he would have remained a bit player, but his assassination is what made him a household name.

It is when you make it reality. Because if it cannot become reality then it is not hope, it is foolishness.

A New Hope.

Hope and Change.

Hopelessly devoted to you...

Are we doing like that play where two Florida players blocked each other?

That is simply untrue. I didn't know it was possible to be so deliberately ignorant.

I'd fight for Robert E Lee's ghost if it showed up today and wanted to lead a rebellion.

That is so untrue that it must have been indoctrinated into you by a very bitter racist.
