Actually, China no longer employs communism as it's economic policy.
It's a modified capitalistic economy enforced by a military dictatorship.
The same as Vietnam...

It's easy to build infrastructure fast when you don't care if (or how many) people die in the process.

They couldn't have grown their economy without capitalist/democratic countries buying their stuff.
Yes. And they couldn't produce anything anyone wanted to buy until they privatized.

Currently?
No, it simply does not.
We have a system that increasingly rewards capital over labor. It's not sustainable for a healthy middle class or society. It's not as extreme as China but it is an issue.

He has obviously never been to China.

China has to transport massive amounts of military hardware by roads.
There is no interstate system in China….when the majority of the country doesn’t’ t Have cars.

Good point.
See hoover dam, Brooklyn Bridge, transcontinental railroad as a few examples

The response you typed here, in no way justifies why you answered this way to this post.
Be better. Be less bad
Our labor is so taken advantage of, labor from around the world comes here to sell their labor.
Do you ever think before you post? Honest question.

The United States fits that description by the way

China is way closer to fascism than communism
This is because communism and fascism are flip-sides of the same collectivist coin.

The pyramids were supposedly built by slaves.
Does that mean slavery was why Ancient Egypt was the most advanced civilization on earth at the time?

Go look up "tofu dregs construction in China" and try that again. You utter and complete moron...

But some of their transportation infrastructure is impressive.
Like what? Give actual examples instead of baseless assumptions. China can't even manufacture their own wheels for high-speed trains. That can't even reliably run their high-speed trains on schedule due to frequent breakdowns of both the trains and the tracks. What's impressive about brand new buildings and bridges collapsing due to gross negligence and engineering incompetence? Using sea water to make concrete (rhat uses plain carbon steel for reinforcement) is impressive to you? You are mentally feeble...

Then move your miserable thieving butt to China.

China is an example of why I think we overrate democracy in the west. We need to curb it. And before the posters who skipped 5th grade social studies chime in with “we’re not a democracy we’re a republic”, we’re both. A republic is a representative democracy. It’s very easy to verify this FYI.
Too much unchecked freedom leads to disorder. In the U.S., early independence had purpose, but now it has devolved into irrational activism and emotional politics. People reward ignorance over reason and use their freedom to undermine the nation that protects it. George Floyd, Lia Thomas, Dylan Mulvaney. Democracy gives these people power to change society when they’re all worthless pieces of shite.
Say what you want about China, they are kicking our asses because they have their people in line.

I've been to China many times and can tell you that their infrastructure is a paper tiger. They spend mega dollars to throw together advanced infrastructure like bullet trains in their big cities, but drive just 2 hours into the country side and even the most basic paved roads literally end and turn to dirt. Its like going back in time 100 years. And much like the impressive 2008 Beijing Olympic venues that now lay in utter ruins, most of these projects meet a similar fate - far too early. Undermaintained and underused. Its all for show for the West.

Probably so, but maybe they used the removed soil to fill in a valley...
