You can see the weakness in the case by how y'all have to keep adding words that were not stated in the second testimony.
None of this is true.

That's not a sign of a strong case.
Probably some trash presiding, resulting in a trash outcome.

The case is probably going to get tossed because of prosecution incompetence.

I
There probably isn't a professional field in the world where words matter less.
We've got 100s of years of evidence to that end.

James Comey:

He adopted his previous testimony.
It was as if he restated it verbatim

Yep. It’s semantics to claim he couldn’t know what the charges were from the indictment. Of course he can.

Disagree when it comes to indictments.

Y'all are entertaining if nothing else. Are you claiming semantics aren't important in a perjury case? The government can't just say "The defendant KNEW what we meant despite what we specifically alleged."

But - you cannot put something factually incorrect in the indictment. The indictment quotes Comey saying he said this in 2020 - when he did not, right?

He did. Saying “I stand by my testimony” is restating his testimony.

What are the requirements of an indictment?

Enjoy your circle jerk thread. The judge has not dismissed the case.
Member when you said that I was wrong...there still could be a motion to recuse? Still think that motion is coming?

Mister independent shut your hole about muh Epstein.
Now knight for muh Comey.

To put the defendant on notice of the crime they are alleged to have committed.
Why do you think the prosecutor swore that Comey said words that he didn't say on 9/30/20?

Yep. And what do you think the indictment does? Are you arguing Comey doesn’t know what the alleged crime is?

Because stating “I stand by my testimony” is restating his testimony. And he said that in 2020.

I appreciate your posts, Jbird, but your constant misstatements of what I say are so tedious as to be not worthy of engagement. How on earth could you think I'm knighting for Comey? I'm just pointing out that people shouldn't get their hopes up for a conviction in this case.

1. On or about September 30, 2020, in the Eastern District of Virginia, the defendant, JAMES B. COMEY JR., did willfully and knowingly make a materially false, Fictitious, and fraudulent statement in a matter within the jurisdiction of the legislative branch of the Government of the United Stales, by falsely stating to a U.S. Senator during a Senate Judiciaiy Committee hearing that he, JAMES B. COMEY JR., had not “authorized someone else at the FBI to be an anonymous source in news reports" regarding an FBI investigation concerning PERSON 1.
These aren't Comey's words. I assume that's what JimEverett is talking about.
