You keep trying to compare the products that are not comparable.
and you wonder why no one wants to spend 50 pages trying to explain economics to you? When every single one of these threads you display a complete non-understanding of Market competition. I mean you're like 3rd grade level. It's an absurdity. You display 3rd grade understanding of economics and then when people call you on it you ask them to spell it out

Dude you're incapable of absorbing it.

NN is a fairly new law. Why was the internet OK before 2015 when it was enacted?

NN has been a topic of discussion for a decade.. since Comcast was caught throttling torrent users.

It's a crazy world when democrats sound like republicans. Pretty obvious that the GOP is a mule for rent

I think at this point you could get R's to be pro abortion if you can convince them the D's are against it.

AT&T and Comcast lawsuit has nullified a city’s broadband competition law

AT&T and Comcast have convinced a federal judge to nullify an ordinance that was designed to bring more broadband competition to Nashville, Tennessee.

The Nashville Metro Council last year passed a "One Touch Make Ready" rule that gives Google Fiber or other new ISPs faster access to utility poles. The ordinance lets a single company make all of the necessary wire adjustments on utility poles itself, instead of having to wait for incumbent providers like AT&T and Comcast to send work crews to move their own wires.

AT&T and Comcast sued the metro government in US District Court in Nashville, claiming that federal and local laws preempt the One Touch Make Ready rule. Judge Victoria Roberts agreed with AT&T and Comcast in a ruling issued Tuesday.

So. Much. Competition.

NES owns 80% of the poles in the area. AT&T owns 20%. Comcast is suing Nashville because they gave Google easy access to the NES poles

It’s not about competition though, it’s about winning against the other side.

No, no, no, its about state and local rights, where the real change should come from.

Well shite.

Well in light of this new news, I am sure Republicans that were previously for this move are going to be up in arms now, because this has always seriously been about states rights and an over-bearing federal government.

There's nothing surprising today about any of us who oppose NN. Anyone reading my posts or TAs or Russians in 2008 could have predicted our stance on NN

And, anyone who ever witnessed the brilliance of a Toddy, grath, lakeboy and their ilk on basically ANY economic issue could have predicted their stance also.

This stupidity of acting like we hold our positions for reasons other than our own evaluation is nothing more than immature fit throwing.

Trump could perform a live abortion on Ivanka straight from the Lincoln Bedroom and they would still defend him.

How? Trump himself has said he could kill someone on Fifth Avenue and still get elected. It’s ok ShortyRob, because Trump loves the poorly educated.

Man, how did we ever have internet for all those years before net neutrality?

Who knew it was something we couldn't live without?

Net neutrality was the practice for all those years.

while not the case for shortyrob.. it's pretty accurate for most trumpkins. ask a liberal what his stance is and then blindly oppose it.

there's a compromise here (FCC ruling rolled back to remove common carrier status with all internet traffic being required to be treated equally/no zero-rating unless approved/no fast and slow lanes.. and it's going to be telling when those proposals are struck down.

wish this would go to the supreme court. scalia is pro-NN

A society with no murder doesn't need laws against it. But when people start turning up dead, maybe it's time to set some ground rules and hand down penalties for it, yes?

Nah they don’t want state's rights either:

We also emphasized that the Commission's order in this proceeding should include a clear, affirmative ruling that expressly confirms the primacy of federal law with respect to BIAS [Broadband Internet Access Service] as an interstate information service, and that preempts state and local efforts to regulate BIAS either directly or indirectly.
