We do a ton of business with Drummond Coal’s Columbia mine. They have one of the world’s the largest fleet of D11 dozers in the world. Wonder how long it will be before the whole operation is “nationalized”?

The current/last president was considered a capitalist. He has done nothing to help Colombia. Also they have a very poor population and education is a joke for public schools...sounds familar.

You shouldn't. We've been fixing elections for over half a century.

There's a reason that Simon Bolivar said that democracy really wasn't a fit for Central and South American peoples, and that they had to be ruled by a strong hand. It's one of the reasons I'm adamantly against Puerto Rico becoming a state. It's basically another Spanish-language third world country with American financial subsidies and the thinnest of Constitutional veneers

One of my friends’ brother is a missionary to Haiti and she was asking him what they can do to fix the corruption in the country and his answer was that they pretty much need a heavy handed benevolent dictator/fascist. Not somebody who’s going to kill/jail his opposition but be able to clean house and permanently expel the corruption.
